let's talk

exploring life through disability, one story at a time.

about Léa

Léa Hirschfeld explores disability through personal stories and lived experience. She works across writing, photography, and podcasting.

She is the creator and producer of Décalés and Out of Sync, two podcasts built around conversations about daily life through the prism of disability, recorded in France and the United States, with the support of Villa Albertine.

She is also the author of Zeno (Éditions du Seuil, 2025), a novel inspired by her brother and their summers at Zeno Mountain Farm.

In 2025, she launched the first edition of the Longueur d’ondes, Décalés festival, in partnership with CNCA Morlaix and Longueur d’Onde.

Through her work, Léa seeks to make space for experiences that are often overlooked and to encourage attention, understanding, and dialogue.
